Sleepless Weekends

Coming to around half a year in army life, I am beginning to appreciate my weekends more and more. They are even more precious than diamonds to me, not able to see pat for more than 5 days in a row each week is really torturing at times.

Really want this trainee life to end soon and let me see pat more often during the weeks in army. Time is passing way too fast outside and way to slow inside. Even though there's nothing much to do in singapore.

Out of infantry!!

Oh yesh, ohhh yeshhh!

Out of infantry!! Today is my graduation from the 41st basic section leader course at Pasir Laba Camp and wad a trip it was! Firstly why am I so happy is of course the freedom of bookout! Can get to see dear once again! Omg, omg~~ Secondly, I'm out of the place where I don't belong to:

Infantry <-- &*#^%*(#&*#@%*#@% A really crapping place and unit

And this is where I belong:

Combat Engineers <-- Might be crappy as well, but still better than infantry

Infantry has been a really bad place for me, I have been doing things without really understanding the true meaning behind it, such as running through a bunch of vegetation and shooting blanks into thin air, that really made me look stupid and be stupid. I have not been using my brain for quite sometime. Seriously, if a real war comes, I will prove that all the trainings have gone to a complete waste.

As of now, I have completed 2/3 of my trainings to be a specialist, or sergent. I really hope that I will get to use my brain in the last 1/3 of the trainings, which will be at engineers school, instead of infantry shit.

26 Days Later

26 days to my course graduation! and also get out of this crazy camp I am in. What will happen for the next 26 days are events that can take my life away, e.g. running/crawling up and down a hill, stuffs like that. Time is going to go pass damn slow.. Bookout timing will be even shorter, now it's like 36 hours with which around 24 I will be with Pat.

26, 26, 26..

Quick ah~~~~

Long weekend without dearie

It's good to have a long weekend! And Pat's in HongKong! Hope she's having alot of fun now. But it all feels rather weird to me somehow. You see, I am quite used to the weekly Sat morning book out Sun night book in routine, now I got 2 more days extra, makes me hate booking in so much :< Especially now that Pat's not around, it's even more weird because for all the weekends in army she's always been with me.

It's funny, now I realise that it's been a very very long time where everyday I get up late and do nothing but sit infront of my PC and play games, if not, go out to LAN shops with friends. That's what I have been doing since Sat, and now, I'm gonna start another game soon lol..

But nevermind! Looking on the bright side, this is gonna be a very short week for me, only from Wed-Sat ^^ Very soon get to see Pat again!

Sick

I finally got my first offical MC after just a month in army. Just some slight flu and dry throat, due to the heaty weather I guess. Oh yah, IT'S FREE!! ^^ Advantage of being a government servant, medical consultation and medicines are paid by the govt at all polyclinics.

But here's a piece of advice to all, if you want to be kiasu, please head over to the polyclinic at least half and hour earlier, e.g. 0730 when it opens at 0800. Reason? I reached the place at 0802 and I was the 77th patient on the queue! Within just a few minutes, the queue grew to more than 150 patients.

Anyway it's been a while since I went to a polyclinic and looking around, I can tell you that 1/3 of the people there are senior citizens, 1/3 are office people, half of the remaining are students out there to chao keng MC (wish them luck) and the other half are the real sick who looks like they are going to KO any moment.

Whole process took me 1 and a half hour, and I ended up with a day MC, with the doctor not willing to give 2 and best of all, I got the weakest medicine avaliable from the pharmacy, they expect me to recover fully in just 1 day with such weak medicines?! The doctor won't even provide me with anti-biotics. I had to survive on my friend's medicines if not I would have been half dead by now.

Another piece of advice, when you are sick, please go to a private clinic and seek consultation.

I'm back!

It's good to be back! And with a new template too to spice things up!

From the looks of this, some of the older posts are rather screwed with the new template, but those shall be ignored since they shall be in the archives soon and even if I try to readjust them to suit to this template, god knows what's gonna happen to them with my future templates.

I don't really have in mind what to post yet, but I'll just say abit of what's happenning in my life now.

I'm in the SAF, Combat Engineers unit in Nee Soon Camp, life's pretty good at there because I have not undergone BMT yet, which will be soon somewhere in June I expect. Basically what I do everyday is watch movies, play CS and exercise. Good way to start up my army career as it's really a good chance to condition up my body to the future "crazy" exercise which I will be going through.

The more I continue the more rubbish I will be typing, until I have better things to blog about, I shall stop now.
